• Feel free to utilize SolidWorks 3D CAD (computer-aided engineering) software you are planning on submitting to the shops.

   

• UCR has a Solidworks Site License, which allows UCR students to download and use the program for free.  You can access Solidworks here.

   

• The program allows you to create a design that provides a detailed description of the dimensions of your piece, and it's fun to use.

Whether you're a beginner to Solidworks or just need a refresher, we suggest the folllowing tutorial options:

1. Online - Solidworks has an extensive catalog of support content available online.  Their website hosts videos, tutorials and community engagement: Solidworks Student Support
